Educational Aspirations of Inner-City Students Spurred On By Outreach Program
HAMBURG , N.Y. – One year after taking part in Hilbert College’s new pre-college preparation initiative for inner-city youth, the first group of Buffalo high school participants will return this summer for a three-week on-campus sampling of what to expect in college.

Hilbert Completes Most Successful Capital Campaign in College’s History
HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College has successfully concluded the largest fund-raising endeavor in the college’s history, having eclipsed a $3.5 million goal for its First 50 Campaign, named in honor of the college’s 50th anniversary marked in 2007.

Student With Muscular Dystrophy Overcomes Challenges to Receive Degree
HAMBURG , N.Y. – When nearly 4-years-old, James Parsell was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), a genetic, degenerative muscle disease that primarily affects voluntary muscles, like those in the arms and legs. He was expected to be in a wheelchair by age 9.

Historical Collection Being Named in Honor of College Archivist
HAMBURG, N.Y. – Sister Joanette Rutkowski’s service as Hilbert College archivist, a position she has held for more than 20 years as the first and only official archivist at the college since it was founded, will be recognized with the Hamburg institution’s historical collection being named in her honor.
