To pursue a minor in human services, you must be in your sophomore year and have written permission from the department chairperson of your major and the Human Services chairperson. A grade of C or better in all courses for the minor must be achieved.

| HS 203 | Introduction to Counseling |
| HS 205 | Interpersonal Communication and Effectiveness |
| HS 310 | The Human Service Professional: Ethics, Dilemmas, and Guidelines |
You must also achieve a grade of C or better in two upper division human services electives.
