The rehabilitation services curriculum provides you with the skills and knowledge necessary to work with a diverse group of people who have physical, emotional and/or cognitive disabilities that impact their capacity to live and work independently in the community. You'll learn the importance of personal and societal perceptions and how to assist individuals to function effectively in their environments. Through courses and internships, you'll develop a personal and professional approach to your work guided by knowledge, critical thinking and the ability to solve problems effectively.
Our program prepares you for entry-level positions in a variety of settings, including rehabilitation centers, drug and alcohol programs, senior citizen centers, community mental health, mental retardation and developmental disabilities programs, corrections systems, schools, and hospitals. Graduates of our program may also pursue graduate-level studies.
