Job Summary: Provides administrative support and assistance to the President and contributes to the daily operations of the Office of the President. Maintains positive and effective relationships with Trustees, major donors, senior staff and faculty. This position requires a high level of maturity, professionalism, competence, and attention to detail. Responsibilities include: promotes a positive image of the College and the Office of the President, performs a variety of complex administrative duties; serves as the primary point of contact with internal and external constituencies on matters relating to the Office of the President. Provides support to the Board of Trustees and Administrative Council; prepares and distributes agendas and meeting packets, attends meetings, takes minutes, maintains appropriate records. Maintains the President’s calendar and contact list, screens incoming calls, schedules appointments, and arranges conference calls. Prepares documents, employment contracts, appointment letters, and other communications for the President’s signature, sends correspondence as requested. Provides support for meetings and special projects as directed; works with the broader College community and other College departments as requested.
Requirements/Qualifications: Excellent organization and administrative skills; strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrated knowledge and understanding of office management concepts, computer systems/technology; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Survey Monkey; ability to learn new software. Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor; ability to multi-task and independently prioritize competing tasks and deadlines; impeccable attention to detail; demonstrated ability to interact with a wide range of audiences; faculty, staff, trustees, students, parents, donors, alumni, and other contacts within the higher education community. Culturally sensitive, ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds; ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in higher education preferred.
