Ruh Appointed to Hilbert Board of Trustees

HAMBURG, N.Y. – Richard J. Ruh, M.D., senior vice president, service lines for Catholic Health System of Buffalo, has been named to a three-year term on the Hilbert College Board of Trustees.
Appointed to his role at Catholic Health in 2010, Ruh is a primary care physician with a private practice in Orchard Park, and is an assistant clinical professor of clinical family medicine at the University at Buffalo.
Ruh previously was a member of Catholic Health’s Board of Directors, and served as vice president of medical affairs and also as vice president of the medical staff at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.
A member and past chairman of the Catholic Independent Practice Association, he holds membership in several professional societies, including the American Academy of Family Medicine, the New York State Medical Society and the Medical Society of Erie County.
Ruh received his medical degree from UB, an MBA from St. Bonaventure University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Amherst College.
He resides in Orchard Park with his wife and four children.
