Parkinson specializes in forensic science aspects in law enforcement, crime scene techniques, evidence collection procedures, the importance of protecting the chain of evidence, and expert testimony as it relates to admissibility of trial evidence. He can talk about the basic principles of forensic pathology and odontology (teeth structure) as it relates to evidence collection, as well as serology, toxicology, chemistry, biology and geology. In the area of drugs and crime, Parkinson can speak on the impact of drugs and substance abuse on the criminal justice system. With more than 30 years experience in law enforcement, he’s a contract investigator for the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Customs and the Department of Treasury.
