Hamburg, NY - It took five sets for the Hilbert women’s volleyball team to capture the non-conference victory over visiting
Cazenovia College on October 13. The 3-2 win (14-25, 25-16, 25-22, 18-25, 15-10) improves the Hawks overall record to 5-14 and drops the Wildcats to 6-11.
Three Hawk players hit for double digit kills with monster attack numbers too. Sophomore Devan Jonathan (Basom, NY/Akron) {in photo to right} lead with 16, with senior co-captain Carole Jones (Bliss, NY/Letchworth) dropped down 13 and freshman Chelsea Reischuck (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) slamed for 11 kills and 27 digs. Freshman sensation Shannon Memminger (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) was able to deliver 34 assists while senior Amanda Dudek (Tonawanda, NY/Tonawanda) contributed 18 digs.
Hilbert travels to Pittsburgh, PA for a 4:30 pm game at Chatham College on October 16 and then travel to Pitt-Bradford for their third meeting of the season on October 19.
