Hamburg, NY – The Hilbert College men’s soccer team played the number one seed in the Allegany Mountain Collegiate Conference when they hosted Penn State Behrend on October 20. The Hawks fought the entire90 minutes for scoring opportunities and chances to even the game but they came up short in a 2-0 loss. The Lions outshot the Hawks 32 to 7 and capitalized on their advantage in corner kicks (11-4) creating multiple opportunities to score. Behrend lead 1-0 at intermission, and secured the win in the second half with 10 minutes left to play off of a corner kick. First year goal keeper Jeremy Kraska (Elma, NY/Iroquois Central) relieved starting goalkeeper Kamil Cislak (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) in the second half and made 7 saves for Hilbert preventing Penn State Behrend from finding the back of the net.
