Buffalo, NY – In a match played at D’Youville College, the Hilbert Hawks volleyball team lost to Kean University (NJ) 3-0 with set scores (25-23, 25-16, 25-21). Kean then lost to D’Youville in the night cap 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-12).
In his second match back from injury, freshman Adam Weaver (Stow, OH/Archbishop Hoban) led Hilbert with 10 kills. Fellow freshman Fred Sickau (Eden, NY/Eden) followed with 8 kills (.312) and senior Dan Wolfe (Rochester, NY/Irondequoit) came up with 12 assists. RJ Sykora (Stow, OH/Stow Munroe Falls) finished the match with game-high three blocks.
Hilbert travels to Thiel College in a rematch of their late February home match which Thiel took (3-1) when the Hawks were short-handed due to injury.
On Friday, March 18th, the Hawks (1-20, 0-8) will be honoring their two seniors, Dan Wolfe and RJ Sykora in their last home game of their career. Please stop out and show support for these two fine men.
