Wolfe (Rochester, NY/Irondequoit) had 9 kills (.320) and a team-high 10 digs while Sykora (Stow, OH/Stow Munroe Falls) passed for game- high 33 assists and added 5 digs and 2 blocks. Also hitting well for the Hawks was freshman Adam Weaver (Stow, OH/Archbishop Hoban) with game-high 21 kills in 42 attempts (.405). Sophomore Anthony Blasz (Eden, NY/Eden) contributed at the net with 4 blocks (9 digs) as did Fred Sickau (Eden, NY/Eden) with 4 blocks.
Medaille (20-4, 8-1 UVC) finished the game hitting .351 from the floor (50 kills/16 errors/97 attempts) and was led by Erin Kelly’s 16 kills in 23 attempts (no errors) and Aaron Woomer’s 22 assists.
The Hawks travel to North Buffalo March 19 to play EMU at 1pm on the Medaille College campus. They finish their season March 23 when they travel to Elmira College.
