BUFFALO, NY – The Hilbert College women’s volleyball team lost a non-conference match to Buffalo State College September 15. The Bengals took the match in 4-sets (25-19, 18-25, 25-18, 25-21) dropping the Hawks to 1-3 overall.
Directing the offense was sophomore Shannon Memminger with 27 assists (7digs). Her primary passing partner was junior Devan Jonathan who finished with 11 kills (.304). Junior Rachel Kwiatkowski earned 4 service aces and 2 blocks.
Buffalo State kept the Hawks off balance at the net earning 10 blocks as a team. Kelsey Bashore finished with a game-high 31 assists and Chelese Moore chipped in 13 digs for the hosts who improve to 4-7 overall.
Up next for the Hawks is a tri-match at Alfred University. They first face Alfred at 11 am then play Washington and Jefferson at 1 pm.
