East Amherst, NY – Kevin Loutsenhizer (La Roche College) finished as top medalist helping the Redhawks to capture the team trophy at the 7-team Medaille Invitational September 24. La Roche’s golfers all finished in the top nine slots with a combined 303 team score.   Hilbert College completed the 72 par Glen Oak Golf Club course with a 408 score as Pat Brooks and Mitch Rojek led the Hawk charge tied with a 98 finish.

The other AMCC teams filling in the middle portion of the finish order were: Penn State Altoona (310), Pitt-Bradford (318), Penn State Behrend (323), Medaille (342), D’Youville (344).

Scoring with Brooks and Rojek were Jim Pernick (31st – 105), and Gary Gawera (32nd – 107). Joe Pernick played the course but his 115 score did not count in the team’s total.

Hilbert travels to Pittsburgh to play at the Wildwood Country Club in the La Roche Invitational September 27 as their last warm-up match before they compete in the AMCC Championship (October 9/10).
