Johnson Named October Student-Athlete of the Month

Allegra Johnson was named the Hilbert College Student-Athlete of the Month for October, 2012.
In the 36 sets the women’s volleyball team played in October, Johnson led the Hawks offense with 102 kills, averaging 2.83 kills per set. During the team’s 3-7 month, the Hawks secured victories over Oswego State, Pitt-Greensburg and Wilkes University.
The Euclid, OH native had double digit kills (4) and digs (5) in the team’s 10 matches played, and she earned 8 service aces and led the team with 94 digs for the month.
Johnson’s most impressive match was the league defeat to Pitt-Bradford when she drove home 16 kills and earned 20 digs along with two blocks. She was named as the AMCC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week October 29th for her impressive performance.
Johnson is a freshman psychology major.
