Nazareth Defeats Men’s Basketball Team

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Hilbert College men’s basketball team was beaten by Nazareth College 85-63 Tuesday night in NCAA Division III play. The Hawks are now 1-3 on the season.
Sean Kenney (Tonawanda/Tonawanda, NY) scored 13 points to lead Hilbert in the losing effort, while Sam Gioia (West Seneca West/West Seneca, NY) and Mike Zmuda (Gowanda Central/Gowanda, NY) each added 12 points. Nazareth placed three players in double figures, led by Lawrence Maroney’s 20 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and eight steals.
Hilbert will travel to Clarkson University on Saturday for a 4 p.m. game against the Golden Knights.
