HAMBURG, N.Y. -  The Hilbert College golf team put together a solid overall performance en route to a first place finish in the tri-team competition held Monday at the Town of Hamburg Golf Course. 


Freshman Jacob Bickelman (East Aurora, NY/Iroquois) led the way for the Hawks, shooting a 79.  William Sporney (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon) placed second on the team with an 81, while Scott Pritchard (Springville, NY/Cattaraugus Little Valley) and Ted Winkey (Springville, NY/Springville) both finished the day with rounds of 88.


Medaille’s Andy Zachowicz was the low medalist for the meet, recording a 2-over par 74.  D’Youville’s Josh Bedosky was just off the pace with a 75.


Hilbert’s men’s golf team continues their season at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championships, hosted by the University of Pitt-Bradford at Pine Acres golf course Oct. 10.
