MARSHBURG, PA – Hilbert College’s golf team participated in the Bradford Invitational at the Pine Acres Country Club on Saturday, September 4.  On a very windy and wet afternoon, sophomore John Nowak (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) led the Hawks with the team’s best score of 90. As a team, Hilbert finished the 72 par course in 10th place with an overall score of 394. Kevin Koerbel (Penn State Behrend) shot a 76 for best score of the day while Daemen College finished the course with a 311 overall score.

Hilbert’s other scorers were junior Patrick Brooks (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) – 100; junior Jim Pernick (Tonawanda, NY/St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute) – 102; and freshman Michael Werner (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) – 102; freshman Joe Pernick (Tonawanda, NY/St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute) competed but his score did not count in team total.
Following Daemen College was Penn State Behrend White (332);  Penn State Behrend Blue (334); Hobart (343); Bradford (350); Medaille (358); Mount Aloysius (359); Greensburg (360); D'Youville (378). 
The Hawks next travel to the Tri-County Country Club when they compete in the D’Youville Invitational on September 14th.
