PITTSBURGH, PA – La Roche College (11-6-1, 6-2) hung on for a 2-1 win over Hilbert College Saturday afternoon in men’s collegiate soccer action. The Redhawks remain locked in fourth place in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) and have solidified a spot in the upcoming conference tournament.

An unlucky bounce early put the visiting Hawks down 1-0 and it was 2-0 before Hilbert’s Mike Gabor (Cheektowaga, NY/Maryvale) cut the deficit to 2-1, but that’s as close as it would get. Keeper Eric Davies (Tonawanda, NY/Tonawanda) recorded eight saves on ten shots in a losing effort.

Hilbert (2-11-2, 1-7) will close out its season on Tuesday at conference foe University of Pitt-Bradford.
