The Hilbert College men's soccer team earned a 4-3 victory over the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on Saturday afternoon. WIth the win, Hilbert improves its record to 3-7 overall, 1-2 in AMCC play.
Senior Bobby Gerhard (Lakeshore, NY/Lakeshore) recorded a hatrick to bolster the Hawks effort.
Assisting on Gerhard's tallys were junior Matt Begal (Northville, NY/Wells), sophomore Brandon Bettinger (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island), freshman Zach Cantie (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) and senior Mike Gabor (Cheektowaga, NY/Maryvale.
Freshman David Walkow (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) also scored a goal in the victory. Assisting on Walkow's goal was freshman Quinn Rola (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) and junior Karl Bukowecki (Depew, NY/Lancaster).
Sophomore Eric Davies (Tonawanda, NY/Tonawanda) made 6 saves in the net for the Hawks.
Hilbert is back in action Oct. 8, when the Hawks host Medaille.
