Greensburg, PA – The Hilbert Hawks men’s soccer team began the start of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play when they traveled to The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on Saturday, September 25th.  The Hawks settled for a 0-3 loss, dropping their AMCC record to 0-1 for the season.  Pitt-Greensburg opened the scoring up in first four minutes of play off a double assisted ball to Justin Grubb.  Hilbert’s defense would hold for the next forty-five minutes before Craig MacDonald put his seventh ball of the season past the goalie. The last scoring for the day occurred in the 72nd minute.  Hilbert continues to be outshot on net, with goalie Kamil Cislak (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) making 4 saves on the visitors.

The Hawks are still in search of their first win and hoping to secure their first conference victory when they host Franciscan University on Saturday, October 2 at 4 pm.
