Hamburg, NY - Sophomore Edward Sarcione (Eden, NY/Eden) has been named the Hilbert College Student-Athlete of the Month for September, 2010.
Sarcione was a work-horse on the field for the Hawks during the first month of the season. The transfer from Penn State Greater Allegheny started 8 of the 9 games and led the team in goals and points. As an aggressive forward, Sarcione out-maneuvered the opposing team’s defense in order to take 16 shots. 9 of the shots were on frame with 3 soring past the keeper for goals. His 6 points were team leading for the 0-9 Hawks.
Sarcione is a Criminal Justice major and plans on playing baseball for the Hawks in the spring 2011 semester.
