HAMBURG, NY – In an intense UVC men’s volleyball match, Hilbert College dropped to D’Youville College 3-1 (25-14, 25-13, 23-25, 25-20) on February 1. Hilbert had a tough time getting an offense going in the first two sets, which allowed for an early lead by the Spartans.
Adam Weaver led Hilbert with eight kills and 10 digs. Right behind him were teammates Scott Ross and Fred Sickau, with seven kills each. Passing for 23 assists was Stephen Phillips for the Hawks. Defensive specialist, Ryan Ratajczak, tallied 11 digs on the night.
The Hawks have a little break before hosting another cross-town rival Medaille College on Tuesday, February 7, at 7pm.
