Ratajczak Swings to Hawks Leader at Bradford

BRADFORD, PA - The Hilbert College Golf team took part in their first Invitational of the season, and the participant’s nerves got the best of the five-some. The Hawks finished with a team score of 388 which put them in 11th place in the Bradford Invitational played at the Pine Acres Country Club September 1. Jared Vetica was top medalist with a final stroke count of 75. He led his La Roche College team to the first place finish (310) in the Par 72 course.
Hilbert sophomore Ryan Ratajczak, playing in his first collegiate match, led the Hawks with an 88 tally which placed him in a 40th place. He was followed by freshman Jacob Reinecke (98), senior Karl Blomback (99), and senior Gary Gawera who finished with a 102. Junior Vincent Giamberdino also shot the round but his score did not count.
Up next, the Hawks host their own Hilbert Invitational September 7 at Gowanda Country Club (10 am start).
