No. 15 Hunter Downs Hilbert

The Hilbert College men’s volleyball team fell to No. 15 Hunter College in three games (19-30, 13-30, 29-31) on Sunday morning (February 1, 2009). With the loss, the Hawks fall to 3-3 overall.
Senior Robert Gerhard (Angola, NY/Lake Shore) recorded a team-high 11 kills for the Hawks. Defensively, Gerhard also registered six digs. Freshman Vincent Amico (Buffalo, NY/Timon) paced the Hawks with 24 assists. Sophomore Matthew Nash (Troy, NY/Catholic Central) led Hilbert with two service aces.
Hilbert returns to the hardwood Wednesday February 4, at 7:00 pm, to host NECVA West rival Nazareth College.
