Buffalo, NY – The newly formed United Volleyball Conference (UVC) will hold its first cross-over weekend February 5 and February 6 in the Western New York area and the Hilbert College men’s volleyball team would like your support. Medaille College and D’Youville College will serve as co-hosts for the two-day tournament due to their campuses close proximity to each other. All ten members of the UVC will be in town providing the entire conference an opportunity to compete against each other in a single head-to-head competition. Hilbert is scheduled to face SUNYIT on Saturday at D’Youville College at 5pm. Then on Sunday, they will face off at 12pm against Stevens University at Medaille College.
Medaille will be streaming ‘live’ all games played at the Sullivan Center both days. If you are unable to be there in person on Sunday, you can follow the 12 noon game live via the web. Click this link to listen to live audio on game from your computer.
The second cross-over weekend is on the books for March 5th and 6th at Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, NY). Hilbert will face Vassar (3/5/11), Bard and SUNY New Paltz (3/6/11) to complete the ‘cross-over’ matches. The Hawks face D’Youville, Medaille, Nazareth and Elmira in home and away events during the season but only one of the two games will serve as a UVC conference game.
