Smolarek Named NEAC Player of the Week

HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College women’s basketball player Amanda Smolarek (Villa Maria/Lancaster, NY) has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 4, 2004.
The senior forward averaged 13 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in the Lady Hawks win over Lake Erie College on Dec. 18 and loss at New York University on Dec. 20.
The NEAC honor is the second for Smolarek this season.
The women’s basketball team (4-5) returns to action tonight at 6 p.m. against Fredonia State College in the Hafner Recreation Center.
