HAMBURG, NY – Keuka College raced to a 31-16 halftime lead en route to a 65-31 win over Hilbert College in NCAA Division III women’s basketball action on Saturday.  The loss drops the Hawks to 2-4 overall. 


The visiting Storm forced 26 Hilbert turnovers and held the Hawks to a chilly 18% from the field, including zero for seven from behind the arc.  Keuka was paced by Kristen Ploettner’s 13 points while Lindsey Baker chipped in with 11 for the winners.


The Hawks got 13 points and 15 rebounds out of freshmen Amanda McHale (Bradford, PA/Archbishop Walsh) in the losing effort.


Hilbert College returns to action on Wednesday, December 15th when the Hawks play host to Clarkson University at 5:00 PM.
