CRESSON, PA – Hilbert College women’s basketball team traveled to Mount Aloysius College January 9 and hit a cold spell on the court. The Hawks shot a dismal 15% from the floor and lost to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe opponent 32-81.
Leading in the Hawks scoring column were freshman Devan Davis (Waterbury, CT/Sacred Heart) and sophomore Mary Zinni (Batavia, NY/Batavia) with 9 points each. Sophomore Julie Bossard ((Arkport, NY/Canisteo-Greenwood) controlled the boards for the visitors with 11 rebounds (5 offensive) in 21 minutes of play.
Hilbert’s 30 turnovers contributed to 41 points for Mount Aloysius in their 47% shooting from the floor. Kaylee Keagy led four Mounties in double digit scoring with her 18 points.
Hilbert drops to 0-7, 0-12 overall. They prepare for their first home game of the second semester when they host Penn State Behrend (3-4, 5-6) on Wednesday, January 13 at 6 pm.
