Dorsheimer Places 7th at Brockport Invitational

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Hilbert College’s Katy Dorsheimer (Lakeview, NY/Frontier) finished in seventh place to lead the women’s cross country team Saturday at the SUNY Brockport Alumni Invitational. The Hawks placed fourth (100) overall behind Alfred University (79), Rochester Institute of Technology (20), and team winner SUNY Brockport (24).

 

Dorsheimer, last week’s Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Runner of the Week, covered the 6,000-meter course in a personal best time of 25:47, while fellow Hawk Stacey Zinck (Hornell, NY/Hornell) finished in 22nd place with a time of 27:09. The field consisted of a total of 39 runners with the winning time of 23:57 belonging to SUNY Brockport’s Candance Sonberg.

 

The Hawks will play host to Division I University at Buffalo at 4 p.m. Oct. 13.
