HC Lady Harriers Come Up Short at UPB

BRADFORD, PA – The Hilbert College women’s cross country team turned in a strong performance at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (UPB) on Friday, but lost to the Panthers 19-39.
UPB’s Ali Mertsock was the overall winner with a time of 23:05 while teammate Kara Karr finishing second in 25:23. Hilbert’s Sue Devlin (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) was the first Hawk to cross the finish line. The senior finished the 3.3 mile course in 26:59 and finished in third place.
The Hawks will prepare for their next showing on September 16th at the Penn State Behrend Invitational.
