Hawk's Run First Race of The Season at Behrend Invite

The Hilbert College men and women’s cross country teams competed in the Penn State-Behrend Cross Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
On the men’s side, the top finisher for the Hawks was freshman Pat Madia (Grand Island, NY) who navigated the 8K course in 46:09. Madia finished 128th overall. Senior Mark Smith (Palmerson North, New Zealand) recorded a time of 48:31 to finish 130th overall.
On the women’s side, junior Amanda Phillips (Cheektowaga, NY) led the Hawks with a time of 23:34 on the 5K course, to place 63rd overall. Junior Amanda Trickey (Clifton Springs, NY) finished 94th overall with a time of 25:15. Rounding out the field for the Hawks was freshman Laura Wilson (Buffalo, NY) who finished with a time of 27:03, good enough for 111th overall.
The Hawks return to the trails Sept. 20, at the UB Stampede Invitational which will be run at Beaver Island State Park.
