Pittsford, NY – Nazareth College swept places 2 through 7 Saturday, October 9 at their own Golden Flyer Invitational to easily win the women’s team title with 20 points. Daemen College finished second in the team standings with 74 points followed by SUNY ESF (94) and Alfred State (134). Hilbert College’s women’s team finished with 268 points which was good for 9th place. 

Keuka College’s Chelsea Socha won the 4K race in 15:35. Hilbert’s fastest runner, freshman Angela Borkowski (Buffalo, NY/Bennett) {in photo to the right}, crossed the finish line in 26:06.87 earning 50 points for the Hilbert team score.
Other Hawks competing in the 4K race were Lanie Harrington (26:10.61); Stephanie Laymon (28:50.20); Raven Jones (34:35.62); Stephanie Smith (35:15.15) and Samantha Mattocks (35:14.22).
Next weekend, Saturday, October 16, Hilbert College will run in the CCOC race hosted by William Smith College in Geneva, NY. This Cross Country Only Competition is designed for institutions who do not offer any spring track and field experience to their student-athletes.
