Opala And Brady Earn NEAC Weekly Honors

Men’s soccer player Jacob Opala (West Seneca West/West Seneca, NY) and women’s soccer player Jeanmarie Brady (Lakeshore/Derby, NY) have been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference Players of the Week for men’s and women’s soccer respectively.

Opala, a junior forward, scored 5 goals and added 1 assist in the Hawks four games last week. On Sept. 6, he erupted for 4 goals in Hilbert’s 5-1 win over D’Youville College. Currently, the Hawks have a 1-3 record and a 1-0 mark in conference play. Their next game is on the road against Penn State-Behrend on Sept. 10.

Sophomore midfielder Brady contributed 4 goals and 2 assists in leading the women’s soccer team to a 2-2 record last week. The Lady Hawks currently have a 1-0 conference record and will host Hiram College on Sept. 10 at 4:30 PM.
