ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women’s soccer team ran their Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference record to 2-0 with a convincing 8-0 win over Hilbert College Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Hawks fall to 1-4 on the year and 0-2 in AMCC play.

The Behrend Lions let loose 50 shots, making Hilbert keepers Wendy Brusso (Marion, NY/Marion) and Jackie Seifert (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) busy throughout the afternoon. Brusso turned away 11 while Seifert stopped seven in the losing effort.

The visiting Hawks trailed 3-0 at the half but couldn’t contain PSB’s Holly Greiner who scored back-to-back goals to start the second half.

The Hawks will look to regroup Oct. 2 when they travel to AMCC foe Pitt-Greensburg University for a 1 p.m. game.
