Greco Leads Hawks Over LEC

PAINESVILLE, OhioHilbert College sophomore Michelle Greco (Jamestown, NY/Southwestern) scored two goals to lead the visiting Hawks to a 2-0 win Tuesday over Lake Erie College in women’s collegiate soccer action. The win gives the Hawks their first win in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (1-5) as they improve to 2-7-1 overall.

 

Hilbert’s Shannon Bieniek (Orchard Park, NY/West Seneca West) assisted on the first Greco goal in the 41st minute of play and again on the second goal at 61:44. 

 

Hilbert keeper Wendy Brusso (Marion, NY/Marion) earned the shutout in goal with the help of a strong Hawk defense that held the host Storm to three shots on the afternoon.

 

The Hawks return to action Oct. 16 for a 1 p.m. game at AMCC foe Mount Aloysius College.
