Bobcats Blank Lady Hawks in Soccer

HAMBURG, NY – Frostburg State scored three goals in the first half before adding two more in the second and cruised to a 5-0 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) win over Hilbert College on Saturday. The host Hawks dropped their second straight conference game and now stand at 5-4-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the AMCC.
Frostburg’s Lindsey Hoffman scored two goals and added an assist while teammate Amanda Drake recorded two goals and an assist as well. Lauren Lentine also scored and collected an assist for the winners.
The visiting Bobcats (5-5, 4-0) threw 13 shots on Hilbert keeper Kelly Goodwin (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) who made seven saves in a losing effort.
The Hilbert women’s soccer team will look to regroup for an important road game Tuesday, October 10th at AMCC foe Lake Erie College.
