Hawks Fall in Alfred Classic

Hamburg, NY – The Hilbert women’s soccer team traveled to the Alfred Classic at Alfred University this past weekend, September 4-5. The Hawks opened the tournament against SUNY Potsdam and suffered a rough 7-0 loss on Saturday. The Hawks bounced back Sunday playing a tough, competitive game against Alfred University, but lost 2-1. Alfred opened the scoring in the first eleven minutes by senior Liz Gramham, then added their second goal from junior Kaitlyn Ross in the 35th minute. Alfred led at the half.
