Hulbert Hits a Hat Trick against Penn State Beaver

MONACA, PA – Nine different Hawks found the back of the net in the women’s soccer 11-1 victory over Penn State Beaver September 11. Hilbert College dominated the 90-minute contest outshooting PSB (58-2) improving to 2-2 over-all.
Katie Newton opened the scoring in the eighth minute and after that, the Hawks were in attack-mode going on a 6-goal scoring spree before half time. Alyssa Hulbert did all her damage by the 17th minute (10:12, 14:22, and 17:41) earning her first trifecta game of the season. Others putting points on the scoreboard were Kayla Norman (goal, assist), Jill Martucci, Nicole Blair (goal and assist), Becca Elensky (Kateland Ball assist), Sarah Schmidt (goal and 2 assists), Megan VanNorman (Breana Cline), Amber Grosch (Amber Bailey assist).
Mary Zinni moves to 2-2 with her team’s second win in the second weekend of play.
Hilbert returns home September 13 when they host Alfred University with a 4pm start. They then travel to the north country to compete against Clarkson September 18th.
