HAMBURG, NY – The Hilbert College women’s soccer team fell to AMCC rival Pitt-Bradford 1-0 in a home contest October 5. The Hawks drop to 1-2 in AMCC play, making their overall record 6-5. The Panthers improve their overall record to 9-2, and their league record to 3-1.

Hilbert’s goalkeeper Mary Zinni tallied nine saves in net, including a huge save on a penalty kick, yet Hilbert could never get started offensively. Hilbert was outshot by the Panthers 20-1 but they were still in the game until the final horn.

Pitt-Bradford’s only goal came from Vicky DeLong late in the first period, tallying her second goal of the season with the assist from Dani Zeamer.

The Hilbert women will host AMCC opponent Mount Aloysius Saturday, October 8 at 3pm.
