HC Volleyball Team Struggles In Home Opener

The visiting Buffalo State Bengals won their season opener 30-12, 30-14, and 30-16 over the Hilbert College Hawks Tuesday in women’s NCAA division III volleyball.

The Lady Hawks (0-1) were paced by Lynn Workman (Newfane/Newfane, NY) with six kills and Amanda Ellis (Pioneer/Arcade, NY) with five aces on the night.

Next up for the Hawks will be the University of Rochester on Friday afternoon at 5:00 PM in the first round of the Hilbert College Volleyball Tournament. The two day event will also feature Pitt-Bradford University and Chatham College.
