Hawks Volleyball Team Beaten at Home

HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women’s volleyball team was beaten Friday night by Point Park University 3-1 (26-30, 17-30, 30-25, and 26-30) in the Hafner Recreation Center. The NAIA Division II Pioneers win drops the Hawks to 1-3 on the season.

 

Amy Anderson (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) led the Hilbert offense with six kills and Amanda Ellis (Arcade, NY/Pioneer) recorded 11 assists on the night. The Hawks also got 11 digs out of Nicholette Newton (Forestville, NY/Forestville) and eight digs and four aces from Lynn Workman (Newfane, NY/Newfane) in the losing effort.

 

The Hawks will play their next four contests on the road starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday with a trip to Keuka College.
