HC Volleyball Drops Season Finale

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Hilbert College women’s volleyball team dropped three straight games (9-30, 6-30, 6-30) to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) opponent Penn State Altoona in their season finale. The Hawks finish the 2004 campaign at 1-15, and 0-9 in AMCC play. The Lions improved their record to 15-8, 7-1 in conference play, and enter the conference tournament as the #2 seed.

 

For Hilbert, Lynn Workman (Newfane, NY/Newfane) had a team-high 16 digs in the losing effort, while teammate Nicholette Newton (Forestville, NY/Forestville) had four kills, six digs and one block for the Hawks.

 

The Hawks will return all 12 members of the 2004 team next season as head coach Shannon Steinwandel looks to improve upon her team’s first season in the AMCC.
