HC Volleyball Team Defeated by Medaille College

BUFFALO, NY – The Medaille College Mavericks took three games from the Hilbert College women’s volleyball team winning 30-17, 30-20, and 30-29 on Wednesday. The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s (AMCC) eighth place team improved to 9-19 overall and 2-6 in league play. The Hawks remain in ninth place and fall to 4-18, 0-8 on the season.
Hilbert’s Destyn Brown (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) recorded six kills and 12 assists, and Laura Stranc (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) recorded eight kills, 10 assists and nine digs. The Hawks Ashton Vertalino (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) contributed 14 digs in the losing effort.
Hilbert will finish the season against conference foe La Roche College (0-19, 0-8) this Saturday at 1:00 pm in Pittsburgh, PA.
