Hilbert's Hulbert Chosen as Pre-Season Player of the Year

PITTSBURGH, PA: The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference released the preseason poll for women’s and men’s soccer as well as women’s volleyball for the 2010 fall seasons.
Alyssa Hulbert (Kenmore East High School), a junior midfielder on the women’s soccer team, was selected as the preseason co-Player of the Year. Hulbert is the first Hilbert female athlete to be chosen as a pre-season Player of the Year in any sport. The Tonawanda, NY product was a second team all-conference player in 2009. Voted the team's MVP, she ranked second on the squad in scoring (14 points) and first in assists (6), also earning academic all-conference team honors.
During the 2009 season, the women's soccer team finished in 8th place but qualified for the play-offs as the 7th seeded team.
