Volleyball Splits Opening Weekend Games

BUFFALO, NY – The Hilbert College women’s volleyball team split their opening weekend matches in the AMCC vs. NEAC Challenge games September 3. Hilbert beat Morrisville State 3-0 after losing 3-1 to Keuka College two hours earlier.

The Hawks won 25-9, 25-23, 25-23 against the Mustangs with Jordan Botsford leading the offense (8 kills and 4 service aces).  Keuka was too much in the first match winning 19-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-20. Again Botsford led with 11 kills.  Shannon Memminger (in photo to right) ran the offense earning 56 assists and 10 service aces for the afternoon.

On the other side of the Challenge, D’Youville beat Morrisville 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-6) and lost 3 straight to Keuka (25-13, 27-25, 25-23).

Hilbert (1-1) travels to Keuka College September 10 for their next match.
