Academic Awards, Honors Presented to Hilbert’s Newest Graduates

HAMBURG, N.Y. – Honors for academic excellence, including department awards and Honors Medals, were presented to graduating seniors in the Hilbert College Class of 2012 at the institution’s annual academic honors reception held on May 11 during commencement weekend. Honored students received their degrees at Hilbert’s 51th commencement exercises on May 12.

The reception included recognition of inductees into Lambda Epsilon Chi, a national honor society for paralegal students, and Sigma Tau Delta, an international English honor society. Also, selected students from the graduating class were chosen for membership in Hilbert’s Blue and White Society, which recognizes students who have excelled both academically and through extracurricular activities.
In addition, academic honors certificates were awarded to students who had earned a 3.3 GPA and above.
