Race Raises Funds for Hilbert Student Scholarships

HAMBURG, N.Y. – Nearly 250 runners, walkers and members of the Hilbert College community gathered on campus April 21 for the 2012 Memorial Miles 5K Race/1 Mile Walk. Sponsored by Liberty Mutual, the race raised $3,000 for Hilbert student scholarships.

Ray Graf of West Seneca (picture here) was the overall winning runner with a time of 17:16. Finishing first among female runners was Elizabeth Lovria of Hamburg with a time of 20:17. Awards were presented to top placed runners and blue ribbons were given to walkers. All race results are available on the Buffalo Runners Web site at    
The course path, which was lined with special tributes honoring lost loved ones, took runners and walkers around Hilbert’s campus and the surrounding Hamburg neighborhood.
