There are many advantages to choosing a Hilbert student as an intern for your organization. Hilbert students have a sincere desire to learn as much as possible and to make significant contributions. As an intern employer, you will be tapping into tomorrow's workforce today. You will have interns who are dedicated and enthusiastic.

Our students receive a well-developed, balanced education. In the classroom, they learn the background and skills needed to help you and your organization.

And once an internship is completed, interns like to share their experience with fellow students, generating interest in your organization and opening up doors for future recruiting efforts.

Intern Employer Responsibilities
Hilbert asks that you provide a real-life work experience for our students. Interns should not be used for clerical support or running errands. They should be given the opportunity to experience work in your organization as other full-time employees do. Give interns projects they can work on during the time they are with your organization, use them on short-term or ad-hoc committees, and invite them into staff meetings as appropriate.

Customize your objectives and supervision to best accommodate the needs of the intern and your organization. Not all interns are familiar with formal work settings and policies about conduct, break times, attendance, and days off. Take some time to orient the intern to your organization's policies.

Also, arrange supervision meetings with the intern, providing opportunities for the intern to ask questions and discuss progress. Provide an evaluation of the intern's performance and take time to review the evaluation performance with the intern.
