The communication studies major at Hilbert will challenge your mind and broaden your views, allowing you to develop your communication skills in the process. The program offers students four areas of concentration covering the major career paths within communication: integrated marketing, interpersonal and organizational skills, media arts, and media writing. In addition to courses within your concentration, core classes and internship opportunities will teach you about communication processes in a wide variety of contexts, preparing you to succeed in a range of professions.
You will also have the opportunity to have a capstone experience. Tailored to each concentration, these courses are designed to prepare you for the demands of the professional world you will enter. You may complete an independent video project, an internship in one of many professions, or a senior thesis, which will prepare you for the demands of graduate work.
