---September 11th Rememberance---
Thursday, September 11th
8:40am at the Flag Pole
Tomorrow is the 13th anniversary of the attack on America beginning with the attack
on the Twin Towers in New York City.  
The first aircraft struck the North Tower at 8:46 am and the South Tower was struck at 9:03 am.

The Hilbert College Student Veterans Association invite you all
to assemble tomorrow morning in the quad by the flag pole at 8:40 am
to observe a moment of silence at 8:46 am in honor of those Americans lost on that day. 
The moment of silence will be followed by words of reflection by Father Gregg. 
Following that, another moment of silence will be observed at 9:03, again in memory of those lost.

Since September 11th 2001, over 70 Western New Yorkers have lost their lives defending the freedoms we hold dear as Americans.  These men and women, members of the US Armed Forces, served our country in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.This memorial is to honor both the fallen Western New York OIF/ OEF/ Contingency Operation veterans and those who have and/or are currently serving during these conflicts. The Veterans honored are from the eight surrounding counties in Western New York.
We also have veterans of these wars attending and working at Hilbert.
