It will also serve as preparation for graduate school in criminal justice, law, counseling, public administration, or more technical areas related to white-collar and organized crime.
Our criminal justice courses cover many areas, including criminology, probation and parole, criminal law, family counseling, forensic science, financial investigations, drugs and crime, and ethics. Specialized concentrations are offered in corrections, family violence, forensic investigation, investigations, juvenile justice, law, police management, and security.
Associate in Arts Degree - Criminal Justice
The associate-level criminal justice degree is designed to prepare you for criminal justice positions in police work, courts, probation, parole, youth counseling, and retail or private security. It also prepares you for careers in law areas allied with various enforcement fields.
Security Management Certificate
An 18-hour sequence of six Hilbert courses will lead to a letter of certification in security management. It's composed of courses in security, retail security, security administration, college writing, public speaking, and information security. You may take the sequence of courses independently or as part of the associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
